NW loan - so many questions!
hi
Around 18 months ago i was offered a loan from nw, because I was so overdrawn and literally drowning, and it was christmas!
So, I applied for a 2k loan. I forgot to sign one of the boxes first time in the branch, so returned a second time, I was called back a third time because I hadn't 'ticked the box for insurance'. So went back. Remember, I was desperate and didn't question it. I also didn't want it as it was £14 per month on top of £45 per month. Hefty
A year after taking it, I was made redundant for the 3rd Jan in a row and the ppi was hopefully to come in handy. Because I'd changed my hours from 25 per week (when I took loan out) to 18 then to 15 at my new place, they wouldn't cover me.
It was a kind of fight with the branch, in the end I wrote in. It took a while but I was offered a measly £253 back to be paid into my loan account. I'd missed 2 or 3 payments since jan this year, because I was arguing the ppi. I returned the form ages ago.
Eventually last week, I was paid the following:
into loan account: 240.00 + 340
into personal account: 186
so in a week my loan amount has gone down to just over £1100
Why would they pay into my personal account after saying it was to go to the loan account?
Why would they pay two seperate amounts? Would this be the amount of ppi paid plus interest?
I have bad credit now, I wonder if there's a lower interest loan available for someone like me so I'm not paying so much interest?
I can't work it out, I've tried! I have a personal manager but don't exactly want to contact them as its embarassing enough not being able to pay some bills! thankfully thats changing and I've been able to cover everything easily but how awful its been!
Anyone had a similar experience with varying amounts, it seems generous but then after what I've paid I'm so relieved its gone down so much!
