Cancelling credit cards without the full account number?

Hi

I've opened an equifax account in order check my credit status. I've built up a few cards over the years that have zero balance, are never used, and I don't even the card for.

I'd like to cancel them but i'm not sure how to, given that the only details I have are the last 4 digits of the account number.

Any suggestions on how I obtain the full account number, or on cancelling a card without knowing this info??

Any advice appreciated!

We kept getting letter for the old houseowner from Virgin Money Credit Cards. I called them because they had ignored several that I returned to sender over about two years.

They asked me to open it and got me to give them the last four numbers shown on the letter and could find the account from there in order to mark her deceased.

tl,dr: the last four numbers, name and address suffice.
