Applied for the Airmiles duo card - was declined, how long should I wait before reapplying? 3 or 6 months?
I've just opened a Premier Account with them and about to have my wages paid in, they gave me a £250 starting overdraft ....
Was not really surprised they declined me with no history etc.
Thanks in advance.

Don't ever apply without ringing phonebank on 01733 347 007
They'll let you know in advance whether you are eligible without credit checks.
I would advise you to try in 6 months however some customer's are known to become eligible in less than 6.
Ring up just after the 21st of each month from now on and they'll let you know. Customer's profiles are updated around 21st.0 -
Wait six months, otherwise you risk generating a credit policy decline marker predeclining you for all and sundry for evermore, like happened to me.
And yes, in six months phonebank can tell you if you're eligible before applyingCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Yeah same for me, she made the application (my personal manager) and the first was for the Bank A/C and she said she would try for the CC but it rejected it before she could even try but explained with a 6 to 8 month history it should allow it and after bugging everyone and eventually telling them they could shove their £25 a month account they seemed to have played ball.
But the double credit check in immediate succession doesnt help either. (I even got that negated off my file as it was showing a double check within minutes for a product and then generic).
Stick with it and then keep calling up your personal manager and or phonebank and as soon as you get it approved, explain you have the premier account so you can get the duo premier miles card which has 25% more miles to the buck. (Free for you with no fee). And no extra credit check either.0
