Current Cheapest Broadband

My mum has requested she is set-up with broadband. She has no cable so it will need to be via her phone line. She is currently with BT.

Can anyone inform me of any good broadband details either from BT or other providers. She does not need fast broadband speeds.

Well it depends what your looking for.

If you/she has a PAYG or contract phone with o2 you can get cheaper broadband. They offer both ADSL and ADSL+2

Customer services are in the UK and are generally pretty good, not really had any problems with them myself.

That makes it easy - O2 LLU. Don't forget to sign up through a cashback site (Quidco or TopCashBack). Fast & cheap even without the mobile discount.

The mobile discount couild still be claimed against a relatives mobile or even a PAYG phone though...

A Plusnet deal may beat it on price but you'd need to check the number on their site. I'd still pick O2 though even if only to avoid the abysmal BT line management system.
