Anything to do with young children nr Guys Hospital London?

Tomorrow we are off to the Angelina Children's Hospital (Guys and St Thomas) in London. The hospital are paying for our fare by train and that includes the tube. Rather than going straight back after our appt, can anyone suggest anything to do with a 2 and 3 year old on our way home?
Thought it would be nice to make a day of it rather than rush home. I know we pass parliament and can see the london eye from The Bridge crossing, but unsure if suitable for their ages.
We don't mind a tube journey if worthwhile. If not we'll just get the train back home and be organised for tea!

Having consulted my facebook friends, i've decided to go with the science museum, which has an under 5's section and its free.
Hope that helps someone.

I don't know the area very well, but I do know the London Aquarium is near St Thomas'. That does have a cost though, so you may be better off with the Science Museum.0

If you walk along the river it can be really interesting with the street artists and the aquariam is great as someone else said.0

I was going to say the Aquarium. Also along there is the London Eye, and there is also an amusement-type place with loads of stuff for them but obviously not free!
They'd love the aquarium though.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

The aquarium is NOT worth the money. You will leave feeling very disappointed. It is now owned by 'Sealife centre'. I find it is incredibly small and very overpriced.
The science museum is fantastic though. I'd recommend having reins on your children, you probably will do though. As it is now the holidays and London is very very busy. I'm just on the outskirts but even here it is crazy busy. Also because of the tubes. I don't mean that in a nasty way at all, I just get nervy with children in London, I see them wandering around tube stations and I swear my heart skips a beat sometimes!! xx 0 -
Thanks for that advice, i hadn't thought of reins actually, i'm now going to pop them in the bag, we live in a small town, so after the intial learning to walk, learning about roads/cars etc, we haven't used them for a good 6 months. But i'll pack them now, better safe than sorry.0

We visited the sealife centre in Hastings last year and came away feeling dissappointed, a lot of money for a 1hr visit. Kids had a better time on the pier and beach. Still you live and learn.0
