tracking a domain that is owned but not in use

Hiya,

I am after a domain that someone owns and doesnt appear to be in use, whilst I know they can be using it for email etc, I am not sure if this is the case.

Is there a programme I can use on the off chance they dont renew (they have owned it for 10 years so highly un likely! but you never know!) So I could get it as soon as it becomes available?

Thank you :D

I wanted a specific domain and we registered with 123reg with their grabber as the domain had not been renewed. Unfortunately for some reason, a different grabber got hold of it first and it is just sat up for sale now.

How about contacting the person and seeing if they are interested in selling it.

Might be worth posting this on the techie forum. I believe domain names have to be registered so you should be able to find some contact details.

You can do a search on sites like centralops.net, and whoisdomaintools, when it says the site is taken you usually get an option of contacting the site owner to buy the site, or clicking a link which says purchase this domain on renewal...
