Insurance Renewal - is flat roof extension considered part of main roof?

Hello
Hope you can help. We are renewing our contents and buildings insurance. All the comparison sites ask about the roof; our main roof is slate (we're a terraced house) but our single-storey extension is a flat roof (not slate)
Does anyone know how to get quotes for this? Has anyone been in the same situation? How do we ensure that we are covered for the flat roof?
Any ideas how to get round this?
Many thanks.

I wouldnt take too much notice of quote sites but be more interested in the wording on the individual providers as that is likely to have variation from what the quote comparison site says.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You usually have to declare what percentage of your roof is flat, I think because they are not as robust as other materials, although how you do that on a comparison site I don't know0
