So what's the difference between the cash buyer at the repo auction, and the multi-billion mega world wide banking system which suddenly decided to walk away from the gambling table?
The difference is, when the banks walk away, the world stops going round!
It ain't the borrowers/purchasers' fault, it's the lenders'...0 -
Ever lent a mate £20 because they say they've no food in .... then later that night seen them rolling out of a pub?MegaMiniMouse wrote: »The difference is, when the banks walk away, the world stops going round!

It's the borrowers' fault.... especially those who lied.0 -
Well the thread, titled by you, is called Irresponsible Borrowers. tbh, if I wanted to make the point I think you want to make, I'd have called it Irresponsible Lenders, or similar. Saves time, and a certain amount of Saturday night confusion.MegaMiniMouse wrote: »The difference is, when the banks walk away, the world stops going round!

But banks don't do that, do they? They are the professionals, they know what they are doing, they don't deal in loyalty issues, only profit...0 -

I don't do discussion/debate/reasoning. I do random flippant postings.....0 -

You could always try a bit of personal abuse - it can work wonders when you know you have nothing useful to contribute to a discussion...0 -

It's all getting a bit cryptic, but I'll have a stab.
How many cash buyers offer bank/savings accounts to Joe Bloggs on the street? How many cash buyers at repo auctions employ a huge amount of staff over the world?
I'm not defending the bail outs for a second, but I don't think the analogy works.0
