Thanks for that advice Markeymark, a request in writing would be better I suppose.
We were advised that by putting anything in writing to them, we're acknowledging the debt but I suppose it's gone beyond that now.0 -

The standard way of dealing with liability is to put "I do not acknowledge any liability to your company" at the start of any letter. Check the correct Scottish wording out.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
