Section 75 & Interest

I've just had a refund under Section 75 (£1340) but it is 15 months since I paid for the services and I didn't clear the balance.

Can I reclaim the interest that has racked up over the last 15 months on the outstanding balance(s)?

I estimate it to be about £100 so worth having

Thanks

My opinion is that you should do, though it might be a struggle. No doubt the CC won't want to refund you unless they can recover from somewhere, but that is hardly the point.

If "something went wrong" when you made the purchase and you've been pursuing it all this time and in the end your claim was accepted, then I believe you shouldn't be liable for the interest.

On the other hand, if you delayed your claim or had good use of whatever it was in the meantime, then I think it's tough.

    More facts would be helpful.
