Easyjet issues?

Maybe I have been in a bubble but I havent heard about any issue with Easyjet and the French authorities which is causing wholesale cancellations of flights.

I have just been into my local TA to seeif they would price match a holiday. My chosen holiday had easyjet flights, and she has said that they havent been flying over France due to some issue, and that they have been cancelling loads of flights, therefore if the flight component of any holiday is with Easyjet it is potentially a risk. This is an ongoing situation she said.

Is this true, does anyone have any info on this issue?

They're running massive delays and having lots of cancellations because they don't have enough staff to cover their summer schedule which is a lot bigger than the winter schedule.

...and they are refusing to pay compensation under EC 261/2004 making up 'extrordinary' circumstances.
