Kays catalogue - credit rejected?

Let me first say HI as I'm new here! :)

I opened a Kays credit account on their website and was given a credit limit of £500. I also opened an AdditionsDirect credit account and was given £250.

I ordered an XBOX pack including a wireless adaptor, keypad & mic for £59.00 (using a code to get £5.50 off) from Additions, and the order was accepted and dispatched.

I ordered a 22" HDTV from Kays and received a phone call while out from them regarding it. I've just checked and it says "credit rejected". I was well within my limit so I see no reason why they should have cancelled it.

My uncle seems to think it's because my order was too large for a first order, does this seem right? I thought it odd how'd they decline an order well within credit they've said I can use!

Thanks. :)

I would agree what your uncle said, even though they have given you those limits, they still like to see how well you run the new account.
I remember many years ago, I got a limit with Kays and it was for about £100, I put an order through for about £60 and it was rejected. I rang and they said to put a small order through first.

Why bother with their mickey mouse credit limit. Get a credit card and then you are free to shop anywhere. Also you will probably find a cheapter tv on the internet.
