Hi,
we have 5 kids 15, 13, 10, 6, 6, and i would like to take them away for a holiday next year, however when i try lastminute, expedia etc they don't seem to cater for the larger family. They enjoy the water so somewhere like spain, portugal, europe would be nice, and all inclusive would be good too.
thanks in advance for any help.

Last year we went to the Vendee down the west coast of France, you can fly to La Rochelle or drive down from Calais (8 hours with stops but clear roads). We stayed at a French campsite which was full of Dutch and French people, we were only one of two English families there which wasn't really a problem as most Dutch people speak english and they had a kids club with Dutch helpers who spoke english, also the main office onsite had english speakers. It was far far cheaper than going Eurocamp or a mainly english campsite. http://www.camping-vagues-oceanes.com/anglais if your interested. The one we stayed at was just outside of La Tranche sur Mer, it had daily buses to the beach, hired bikes, had indoor and outdoor swimming pool, onsite restaurant. My 6 year old loved it. The beaches have lifeguards in fact the French seem to have it all figured out beach wise as some even have playgrounds on them.0

It sounds like either a campsite or villa would suit you best.
Eurocamp do some luxurious camping, and there are great villas everywhere, PM me if you want some good websites.
The problem with hotel complexs are they don't tend to offer very convenient accommodation. If it is last minute they won't be able to guarantee rooms next to one another, and anyway if you do book ahead of time, you run the risk of being in rooms without interconnecting doors and at the ages you state I'm not sure I would like them to be separated myself0
