Hi everyone,
I have been a lurker on this forum for some time now but my brother and his girlfriend have just got engaged in the Dominican Republic.
They are hoping to get married next year (Summer time) but now don't know where to start with the planning. They have been looking at venues but still do not know what to do.
We are based in the west midlands so if anyone has any help at where to start first, it would be greatly appreciated!!! If there are any venues also which people have found, that would be great too.
Many thanks in advance!

Decide on a budget then find a venue, church, hotel, castle, boat, town hall or where ever they want to get married and see what dates they have available. I would start there. Then try and pick up a guide, you can find many on the internet or in magazines that tell you where to go from there,
e.g http://www.hitched.co.uk/plan/wizard/index.aspDebt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
They would need...
A budget
A date
A church/venue for the ceremony
A venue for after the ceremony and evening
Someone to marry them, so if they want a church wedding, they would sort that out at the time of booking the church, but if they want to get married in a hotel, or reg office etc, they must give notice of their intention to marry/book a registrar.
Once the actual ceremony is sorted and a venue is found and booked, everything else sort of falls into place!
For venues in the area they want, just Google wedding venues X, X being the area they want.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Speak to Horace - she is our West Midlands wedding planner and has LOADS of local contacts - including venues that they may not
