I went through this a few months back and it transpired that the upper arm monitors are better than the ones used on the wrist. I bought an Omron model and I have seen the same model in use by doctors.0

Hi i got one for my mum as she was needing one, got it off freecycle, wrist style and it is very accurate, worth about 70 pounds when she got it:j as soon as we got home we all checked our blood pressure:D
Def a good buy if u need to check your blood pressure between dr appointments.0 -
Yes they are accurate, but constant worry and monitoring can give you false readings,LLoyds chemists have one for £10,it will be fine ,no point otherwiseTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0
