Credit cards

I have a capital one credit builder card with 39.9% apr had it for 2 1/2 years now with a £550 limit on it, balance sitting at £455 i keep using and paying it off in full and sometimes min payments. is it worth while trying for a card with a lower rate. i have 3 defaults from 2005 that were settled that year. ive had 3 loans from a credit union 1 that i am still paying, planing to pay off next month. or will i just be rejected who would be best to try i tried for an egg card in february.

Thanks Craig
