Jet 2 Online check in question

Hi,

sorry if this has already been asked and if it has don't jump down my throat please.

We are looking at booking a flight with Jet2 and are happy to check in online. However I cannot find anywhere in the terms and conditions about being allocated a seat if we do opt to check in online? I know with Ryanair and Easyjet you sit where you want(can!!) but Jet2 allocate seats. So how do we know where we are sitting? Do we have to pre-book seats so pay extra or do we have to notify the airline at check in to be allocated a seat? We have no hold luggage.

Thank you for any help.

    Hi there,

When you check in online with Jet2 the system automatically allocates your seats. These are highlighted in orange (if I remember correctly). The seat row and number is also displayed next to your name on screen . You can either accept these seats (which cost you no extra) or you can choose seats that you would like to be in but you have to pay. (How much depends on which ones you choose.)
When you get to the seating plan on screen I am sure you will see what you can and cannot do.

    Enjoy your holiday!!!:)

Here's a tip, when you check in online if you don't like the seats the seats that are selected for you, just click on 'go back a step' I think it is at the bottom of the page, then check in again immediately and you will get different seats, we wanted aisle seats and got them the second try doing that.

We didn't do that last year as we didn't know about it and were allocated seats a few rows apart on opposite sides of the aircraft, we made sure we were at the check in desk early to ask about it and were told that is a common occurrence, she very kindly changed them to seats together for us.

Don't pay extra to sit together or reserve seats it's not worth it
