interview for a paid charity shop job what to wear?!

hey

i have a interview today at the job centre for a charity shop what the hell do i wear?

i currently work in retail and wore black leggings boots and a smart cardy and tshirt but because its at the job centre i dont want to go to casual so i know jeans are a no no but what type of dress do i wear? strappy not ?

do i wear heels or smart flip flops?

    Its a job, you want to look like you have the ability to be professional and take things seriously.

    Smart is best IMO, and if you can, closed toe shoes or at the very least, smart flat sandles, or with as low a heal as possible. Mininal make up (if any) and a simple classic look goes down well. Your trying to have someone hear what you say, you don't want them destracted by what your wearing, they are going to trust you a shop, not ask you to model for them, they need to know you are serious, trustworthy, able to take and give instructions/mature and can work well in a team.

    decided to wear black shoes, black trousers black and white star top in chiffon a black waistcoat with gold add ons like braclet and necklace.
