holiday money - which is best?

I'm going to Zakynthos soon and its been a while since I've holidayed in europe. I'm wondering what the best way to take spending money would be - travellers cheques, euro cash or just use my HSBC card in the machines over there? :confused:

    in euroland i allways budget cash then any extra`s use a credidcard t/chq`s are a pain in euroland
