Virgin acct. closure

I just called up to close my Virgin CC account, thinking I may get a cheeky 0% offer.

It was an automated system that asked me to enter my card number...anyway, long story short the automated system just closed my account without ever speaking to a cust. services advisor; that one kinda back-fired! :rotfl::rotfl:

The moral of the story be, don't tell the computer woman to close your acct. as she will.

    If you phone the retention team at MBNA on 0800 783 1116 they will be able to reopen it for you. They can do this if the closure was done on the same day and possibly the next day.
    You just need to tell them it was an accident.

    Also that department deals with promotional rates. So ask if there is anything available.
