Ryanair pushchair for child not infant

Hi im wanting to take my buggy for my 2 1/2 year old, the threads ive read on here about this are a little unclear, nobody seems to know for definate, and ryanairs t+c's only refer to buggy's when talking about infants.
#1 - is it allowed?
#2 - some people on other threads have mentioned having to pay check in for the buggy? Is this right? tia :beer:

one fully collapsible pushchair per child may be carried free of charge.

My son is also 2 1/2 and we flew last week with Ryanair. It's no problem at all. They carry a pushchair FOC. It's mobility equipment at the end of the day. You can either submit it at check-in (actually, at oversize baggage), or keep it through the airport until the gate and submit it then. Either way is fine and free.
