I used my credit card 15 months ago and only this week it has appeared on my statement, how do I stand, do I have to pay or can I despute it.

Why would you dispute it if it was your transaction?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

    Yes you have to pay.

If, however, the amount is particularly large and your circumstances have changed since making the purchase such that it would cause particular hardship to have pay at short notice, then it would be reasonable to ask for time to pay (yes even more). Of course credit cards offer this facility anyway, but you could haggle over the interest.
