Which online stockbroker for small accounts

For buying an selling small amount of shares, i have no idea about s & s, i think i read an article on this site saying that Hoodless Brennan are a good choice but i don't see much reference to them in a forum search, i would looking for as low chares as possible.

I use (and would recommend) Interactive Investor. Flat rate dealing charges of £10 per normal trade.

I currently use natwest stockbrokers and have also found them fine.
Their telephone lines for customer support are always answered very quickly and have always been very helpful.

On this board you will probably get 20 or so replies, giving 20 or so different recommendations, but in my opinion, one to definately avoid is Barclays online sharedealing.
They seem to have far too many problems with their website, and it's down for maintenance or snags on a regular basis.

    Hi.
I did a check on moneySupermarket (I'm on the same position as you are) http://www.moneysupermarket.com/shares/CompareSharesForm.asp
From what I can see is about £10 for trade in a lot of them, the one you mentioned charges £8.
Best of luck with your adventure.

iii.co.uk is good for making regular investments, similar to pound cost averaging.
£1.50 per trade (more to sell) on set days of the month and no additional charges.

    Investments: 10%
