My Veggie Growing and Gardening Blog
Posting this as had it in another thread, and from here will let people know how I get on with things.
When we moved into our house in Oct 2008 there was 1 raised bed when we moved in, I put another one in in Feb. In one bed (which doesn't get much sun) I've got Garlic in which seems to be doing very well.
In the other bed, I've got
Onions
Leeks
Parsnips
Spinnach
In several tubs and pots there are:
Maris Pipers
Charlottes
Strawberries
Broad beens
Tumbling Tom - bush tomatoes
Super Chilli - Chili plants
Cucumbers
We also have a Herb bed after I convinced my wife to have a go with a spot that didn't have anything in it, and gets lots of sun. In there is:
Mint
Rosemary
Apple Mint
Chives and Garlic Chives
Oregano
Thyme
Fennel
and a few other bits I can't remember the name of.
Looking forward to reading other tips in here and will try to keep the thread updated.

The first of the Charlotte's where lifted this week - yummy! less than 2 minutes from lifting to the pan and were gorgeous.
To keep things cheap, I grew the spuds in an old horse feed bucket (very large and can now find them in a garden center). My wife was renewing some so I got her's which were split. I put some plastic bags over the holes just to stop soil / compost leaking out and it's done the trick. Granted I did get 1 x new one, but the other two are hand me downs.
Will have to find some pics and upload them.0 -
This lot where taken before everything went crazy in the garden.
