  • Don't buy a lexmark as the ink cartrides are tooooo expensive - usually about £25 each!!!!!
  • Remember, you can refill most cartridges to save money on replacements!

I always go for Epson as you can get very cheap compatible cartridges.

That's how rich I want to be. ;)

But until then - best wishes - Mike.

Thanks, I am totally lost as to what to get as there are so many contradicting views on here. I read that Epsons don't last, my parents and I both had an all in one printer/scanner/copier. Both of them last just over a year with very little use.

I read on another thread to avoid HP as the inks are too dear but Epson is good as they are cheap! Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

I need to buy one ASAP but don't know what to do.

I can only tell you that I had an old Epson for several trouble-free years, followed by an Epson printer/scanner/copier that I have had for nearly three years with no issues.

My friends have all had Epson's as well with no problems.

You can get a basic Epson printer for £40 (or probably less). It's a while since I last looked).

Epson or Cannon are both good. I woulda avoid Lexmark like the plague, the ink cartridges cost way to much.

    Many thanks,

50% of all Dell colour printers on their website. You need to use a specific promotion code available from hotukdeals to get the discount.

Don't know how cheap the ink is for these printers or how good they are.

I bought an Epson photo printer about a year ago for about £80 and find the quality of normal B&W printing as well as colour photos to be outstanding. It also has individual colour cartidges so replacing them with non Epson compat cartridges costs me about £1 each time. High initial cost but very low ongoing costs and great quality!
Moneysaving is costing me a fortune!
