do you mean how much is your lump sum, or what is the total of all the dosh you have ever stoozed?

eg if I'd done 10k a year for the last 4 years is that 10k or 40k?

I mean the amount you have actually stoozed at the present time. NOT the accumulative total spanning several years.

i.e. if now you have £30k stoozed in a bank account (or offsetting a mortgage), then that is your stoozed total.

In your example that would mean £10k

I am quite new to Stoozing, just on my first move, £4800 in total and it's now all on one card and 0% for 12 months on a Barclaycard. I am still a little edgy about carrying a balance on a credit card as I have always paid off my CC balance in full for over 15 years. I have worked it all out on a spreadsheet, paying off 2% of the balance each month and keeping the rest of the balance in a seperate ING account so I don't feel tempted to spend it. I will hopefully get more adventurous as I get more into this.

  • Slowly over a period of time build up stooze pot. Mine is shared between myself and Mr Smartsaver, so is not over 75k alone.

In the early days, I too was 'concerned' but now, reached the point of be blaze about it all. Its a case of both paitient and aggressive stoozing, with an every rising stoozed pot.
  • imagine stoozing £1million. You would never need to work again??

I'm completely new to stoozing but have been thinking about it for awhile.

My question is, how do we start? We always pay our bills off each month (cashback cards) so do not have any debt to transfer.

We are just setting up an offset mortgage so it would work in our favour to offset the extra cash against the mortgage - I understand that bit - but how do we balance transfer no debt to get started?

Keep it simple, I'm still learning...

    Thanks

The simple answer is to get an Egg card. They allow you to move money directly to your bank account (in theory to pay off an overdraft). It's known round these parts as a super balance transfer card (SBT).
