Easyjet cancelled

I have just had an Easyjet flight cancelled for October.
There is only one flight per day so I may now need to cancel the booking (and go with another airline from another airport),
Does anyone know whether I am entitled to a full refund of BOTH flights (the return as well).
It's not entirely clear from the email.
I know I can ring them but I am going on holiday on Saturday so in a bit of a rush, so any help I can get on here is very much appreciated and I know others have been though this before.

Was the outbound and return booked as part of the same booking (i.e. the same reference number)? If so, then yes.
However if they are seperate bookings, then probably not and you may have to contact your travel insurance company and claim through them."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Yes the flights were booked together as a return trip.
We could change the flight for the next day but we would lose 1 day of our holiday. The alternative is to cancel completely and book with another airline from another airport which we might find preferable.0 -
Can i ask where you were flying to? I have booked with easy jet to go away in December for my husbands 40th birthday and they seem to have cancelled so many flights recently, that i am getting quite panicky that we wont be going anywhere.0

We were flying from Bristol to Prague in October.
I have read on a different thread that it's becuse they don't have enough crew to staff the flights.
I wouldn't panic.
There are usually choices available.
We could fly on a different day or go on the same day from a different airline/airport.
I guess it depends on where you live but I can get to Gatwick, Heathrow, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton so other options should be avilable and that's without using any connecting flights (we would have loads of other options say via Paris or Amsterdam although it would take longer).
The costs look like being quite small (about £60) but I would expect it to be met by travel insurance.
If the airline give you less than 14 days notice then you may be able to get compensation.
So whilst it is a pain (I have to potentially change parking, airport lounges, accomodation, flights etc) it is certainly not going to necessarily spoil your holiday.
At the moment we are looking at flying from Birmingham instead of Bristol which is a slightly longer drive and a small cost but not really a huge big deal.
So ...really....please don't panic.0 -
Just to update (in case anyone is interested).
Easyjet have given a full refund for the return trip.
Have re-organised flights from a different airport at an additional cost of £82.
Should be able to reclaim that (except £25 excess) from travel insurance.0 -
Thanks for that, really getting worried now, as we to are going to prague too, it will be a nightmare if they cancel as there are 10 of us flying out on 21st dec returning on 23rd late evening as a surprise for my hubby's birthday, fingers crossed that they have sorted it out by then. Glad you managed to book another flight at not to much more cost, have a great time.0

October is the summer timetable with more flights. December is the winter timetable with fewer flights, so the risk is less.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

My flight from budapest to newcastle scheduled for 6th August was cancelled and i was notified on the 19th july.
I rang up for my refund, cos things like this happen and so wasn't too annoyed!
Anyhow, as id booked my flight quite a few months in advance my card number had changed due to it expiring and got told to email the new no. and expiry date to easyjet via email.
I did this and after a week of nothing rang them again, after half an hour the guy at other end opened the email only then and said he saw the details on screen infront of him and it would take 3 weeks to go back into my account.
Fair enough, but come 20th August still nothing so I emailed again, but still nothing!
What does anyone suggest I do! Cos I really don't no! It's not a huge vast of money, but to a student about to start uni it is! And besides its the princible!
Thanks in advance. Sorry if i'm on wrong thread or anything just redirect me hehe!0
