Hi Everyone
I am currently on Income based Job seekers allowance and I have 2 job interviews next week just have a couple of questions?
1) Am I legally obliged to tell them at interview that I am an undischarged bankrupt? (only doing admin/reception work)
2) I am not sure if i dreamt this but i'm sure i read somewhere about an NT tax code for bankrupts? If this does exist will it automatically be applied or do I need to get the ball rolling if I get the job?
Sorry if these questions are silly but i'm pretty clueless
Thanks
Kayleigh

Hi Everyone
I am currently on Income based Job seekers allowance and I have 2 job interviews next week just have a couple of questions?
1) Am I legally obliged to tell them at interview that I am an undischarged bankrupt? (only doing admin/reception work) It will depend on the terms and conditions of your employment.
2) I am not sure if i dreamt this but i'm sure i read somewhere about an NT tax code for bankrupts? If this does exist will it automatically be applied or do I need to get the ball rolling if I get the job? You would have tell the OR about your change in circumstance, also it would depend on when you went BR.
Sorry if these questions are silly but i'm pretty clueless
Thanks
Kayleigh
Hope this helps

If you change jobs during bankruptcy (or start a job as in your case) then you will not have a nil tax code
You are only obliged to tell them if they specifically askHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
