Help regarding work and paying tax

Hi Everyone

I am currently on Income based Job seekers allowance and I have 2 job interviews next week just have a couple of questions?

1) Am I legally obliged to tell them at interview that I am an undischarged bankrupt? (only doing admin/reception work)

2) I am not sure if i dreamt this but i'm sure i read somewhere about an NT tax code for bankrupts? If this does exist will it automatically be applied or do I need to get the ball rolling if I get the job?

Sorry if these questions are silly but i'm pretty clueless :o

Thanks
Kayleigh

You would have tell the OR about your change in circumstance, also it would depend on when you went BR.

    Hope this helps :)

If you change jobs during bankruptcy (or start a job as in your case) then you will not have a nil tax code

You are only obliged to tell them if they specifically ask
