bedroom decorations???

I've just done my bedroom out and now I need some pics or something to go on the walls cos its looking bare. My carpet is beigy/wheaty, my walls are beige and my paintwork is chocolatey brown. I want some decorations to put on my walls, like brown squares that kind of thing. I would love a marilyn monroe picture in brown and beige but can't seem to find one. Everything suitable I find costs a bomb and I haven't got that much to spend. Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks

  • I have a number of fun and not to expensive ways to decorate empty walls...

You could buy a couple of frames in the pounshop and put your fav pics in, the more colours the better...
another way is to go to a home bargains, get yourself a canvas, they start at £0.99 and flop up some paint, also £0.99 (or if you have kids or know some, let them do it)

    Hope it helps

Do you have a poundstretcher/instore near you? They have lovely canvasses in at the moment in the sorts of colours you are needing. I think they are 3 canvas squares for £10. Hope this helps.

I know this is a bit of a cheat, but have you thought about getting some expensive wallpaper samples (the Laura Ashley one I like is £22 a roll) and cover the 3 canvas squares with the paper.
    Good luck

    Hi Kittykate.

If you're a Marilyn fan then how about some sepia coloured posters.

Some people get so rich they lose all respect for humanity.
That's how rich I want to be. ;)

But until then - best wishes - Mike.

You ould also print of an a4 picture you like and take it to a local print shop and have it photocopied and blown up, this works especially well with pop art style pictures and is really cheap.
