ooh how exciting for you! I would say underwear would help because I know when i am trying on dresses they fit totally differently depending on what bra I am wearing for example with the dress i have ended up with doesn't fit me with one bra on but then is a perfect fit with a different one!0

Any jewellery you are wearing, stockings/tights (?), tiara, veil, any other accessories, bag... if you want to colour match or check anything goes together.
A camera if you want piccies and couldn't take them first time round x0 -
If this is a first fitting no point if you haven't got underwear. (bra or corset) If you intend having the hemline altered you'll need youtr shoes too. It's so frustrating to be expected to do an alteration when the client hasn't got the necessary. Quite often, the alteration will have to be done again when the client eventually gets the correst bra/shoes. This could incur extra costs.
From my pov, it's a total waste of your time and the seamstress.
gosh, that sounded awfully blunt. apologies. xx0 -

Blunt is what I needed and that was why I asked, thanks Linda!
I'm off to my local Debenhams this week for my undies as I have a 20% discount voucher, if I can't get sorted there it's the big M&S at Warrington on Friday evening :eek:0 -
Glad I didn't offend you. xx

It is...and the dress is going off for an Eco-clean too, as it was a shop sample before it found it's way to me via Ebay
Have just ordered an acid-free dress cover for it, and have a lovely padded hanger that was my mum's for it to live on at home

Then if you are off to a seamstress to have it altered shoes and undies are a must. Bra most necessary, thong and stockings not so! lol x0

Thanks Linda.
Can I send you over to BeckyArch's thread about which petticoat for her dress?0 -
