Have you checked with all your immediate neighbours ???

Have you paid for the goods already ???

Ring Parcel-force and tell them and ask for a copy of the signed delivery note :)

They should supply you with a copy of the delivery note on request , so that you can see who signed for it, this may help. Also did they put a card throguh your door telling you which neighbour they had left it with? I get quite a lot of deliveries from them (about 1 a week) & they always leave me a "Alert" card saying which house it is at.

The onus is on them to provide safe delivery, if they can't prove they have then write a letter of complaint to the goods supplier advising them of Parcel Force's failure & cc it to Parcel Force is my advice.

If the goods are of value (Usually more then £50 I think) & you paid by credit card you could also involve them ;)

I had a problem with ParcelFarce a few years ago. They introduced a bonus scheme which meant delivereers got paid more for not returning packages to the depot!

Unfortunately, you have no contract with ParcelFarce and ParcelForce can limit their compensation.

So, although you are not protected under civil law there is protection offerered by the 1953 Post Office. It is a criminal offence to 'endanger the safe transport of mail' - or words to that effect!

I had so much problem with ParcelFarce that I went to the Police with a copy of the Act and they did something and I had no more problems after that!

I think you will also find that ParcelFarce have a legal duty to deliver to the address on the package - that means they cannot leave it with a neighbour without your consent!

Sorry, seems the Post Office Act 1953 has been repealed! However, the Postal Services Act 2000 may help.

they may have a legal duty to deliver, but leaving the parcel (or claiming to leave the parcel ) on your doorstep (even though front porch door is never locked and next parcel from them was put into porch) is all too common a problem with them.

yes you should have had a card - stating 'parcel left with neighbour', if you havent then you havent received the parcel, as someone has mentioned, get parcelfarce to let you see a copy of the signed receipt.

contact the company sending the parcel to you and complain.

my way of thinking, you have no proof that parcel farce have delivered, did you pay by credit card? if so was it over £50, if so complain to the credit card company? if it wasn try anyway

parcelfarce or whoever should be brought to task for not delivering your parcel with 'all due care and attantion'
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
