Going BR. On S.O.A what is an acceptable to put down for rent etc to Mum and Dad?

Hi there,

Am going BR on Weds and moved back home in february because of my woeful finances. I am filling out my "outgoings" form in my statement of affairs. What soprt of figure will the OR allow for rent, food, bils etc, because I think my parents will want a decent amount once I do go BR as I have not been paying anything.

Hi Jon, I would imagine a third of all bill's would be acceptable.

Mum and Dad or not, the OR will expect you to pay no more than the going rate. Check out prices for house-shares in your area and put that down checking if it includes bills or not.
