Don't know where you stay - but if you can get easy access to an airport with low cost airline links to Rome - I've got details of a wonderful small hotel - very cheap but friendly, clean and comfortable.

I've stayed there loads. Tend to be able to get flights for between £30 and £50 pounds each return. Hotel tends to cost about £20 each per night for bed and a good breakfast.

The hotel is called the Hotel Piave, it is in a nice residential area not far from the wonderful Borghese Gardens. 10 minutes walk will take you to the Trevi fountain. Very nice for an nice romantic evening stroll. Best time to see the fountain to be honest.
