Afternoon everyone,
I have been a lurker on the forum for some time & firstly wanted to say hello:hello:
I have been in debt for quite some time now and am trying to do my best to improve things...so far..
1. Paid off a huge APR card (34% ouch)
2. Sold old mobile phones
3. Sold scrap gold
4. Sold as many items as possible on Ebay (didnt make much after fees, but it all helps)
5. Made the most of money saving vouchers by switching online shops etc to save.
6. Signed up for survey/review sites.
7. Using Quidco for anything I buy
8. Switched Insurance & other things to get myself the best deal
Alot of these tips have come from this forum..so thanks all:beer:. You are helping me on my way and Im surprised by how much I have saved so far. Its actually got me a bit hooked and am now constantly looking at ways I can save and giving myself a shopping target for next month. Ive set up spreadsheets to monitor my money & am feeling like I have achieved something with all the tips from this site.
Not alot of point to my post except really to say thank you. And if anybody has any other money saving ideas & tips Id be glad to hear of them. I feel ive done the main parts and am looking at any small savings I can make each month. I planning meals more carefully & trying to stretch my budget further.
Its odd to find that all of this is actually a bit addictive, whilst before I was probably alot more spend and think later.
Keep up the good work MSE.
