Missing Information on Credit Report

I went on to Experian to check my credit report and noticed that there are creditors missing. Would anyone know why that would be?

I noticed on some other threads that people were saying some of their creditors didnt come up because of CCJs. Now I had to move from other flat due to burglary and hence if court papers are at old flat I have no way of accessing them now.

How would I find out if one of them has got a CCJ against me? Really panicking now - just recently signed up to DMP and wanted to get this sorted out.

Have you also tried you equifax report, some lenders only report to one or the other, note both so you really need to check both.

Regards a CCJ you can check by looking at the registery trust online but it costs £8 (for each address you search).

Do all your creditors know your new address? If they do then they must send any court papers to the new address.

You must make sure you have linked all your addresses, that's what I had to do with Experian.

Tixy - I did try Equifax but got a message saying that I was to phone them as they had to ask me some questions. They are only open Mon-Fri 9-5 which is a bummer as I am at work. Will try and find a way of contacting them. They have taken £1 off me though - no idea what thats for!

Tixy - Meant to say, I am not sure if all my creditors have my new address as I have been stupidly ignoring letters etc wishing it would go away. But now I am determined I am owning up to it and sorting it out.

Well, I'm not sure lol - the way I did it was to ring them up to cancel, thinking I'd sorted it out, and the chap on the phone said 'do you realise all your addresses are not linked'.. So he did it for me and sure enough 3 more accounts popped up!

If the addresses aren't linked apparently it looks bad on searches.

I am a previous bankrupt, so it was just a case of trying to clear my file up.

Hi Clare, i tried to get my file from Equifax too and got the same message, when i called - which was a nighmare btw, almost an hour waiting - they just asked me the questions i had already submitted answers to, name, dob etc then asked me to send two forms of ID, a drivers licence, passport or the like and another document which could be a bank statement or utility bill. They didnt ask for original documents like experian did, so i was able to email them. Just waiting for them to get back to me now.

Hi Clare. I wonder if it could be the way you've entered your address that could account for the missing items. I signed up the other day and got a full list of my credits on the report. However, I changed the way my address was displayed as it annoyed me the flat number was after the block name and the next day I only had one item showing. I've tried changing it back now and will see whether that changes it back!
