Reducing my DMP payment for one month

Hi all,
I have been in my DMP since last June and pay £928 per month. My aged car passed it's MOT but it needs about £400 worth of work done on it.
Can I ask CCCS about reducing my next payment to allow for it?
Will it cause a deluge of letters and calls and my creditors cancelling their agreement to my DMP?
I feel very anxious about this but don't want to leave my car unrepaired....
Many thanks.

Yes you'll get some calls and/or letters. As long as it's only the one reduced payment, and you have made all other payments as agreed, this is unlikely to cause you any trouble.
The issue, though, is that if you can't afford to have your car repaired then your payment is too high anyway. In other words, you should really think about putting a little aside each month for unexpected expenses like this, and account for it in your SOA.My Debt Free Diary I owe:
July 16 £19700 Nov 16 £18002
Aug 16 £19519 Dec 16 £17708
Sep 16 £18780 Jan 17 £17082
Oct 16 £178730 -
Calling CCCS in the next couple of days is going to be difficult as I leave for work before 8am and won't get in until after 6pm.
Calling from work is completely not an option.
I have logged into my CCCS online account and have sent them an email explaining my situation and my request to reduce my next payment for one month from £928 to £528.
I feel really worried about this but really need my car for work.
My brother is a mechanic and is doing the repairs for me so I know it will be cheaper than it could be.
Am panicking about all this somewhat.....:(:(:(Proud to be dealing with my debts
