How long before they arrive at the door?

Just wondering how long is before they start knocking at the door
Haven't been able to pay any cc/loans for about 7 weeks.
Getting about 20 calls a day now ( I ignore them 0845/witheld numbers)
RBS sent a letter saying they were turning up today, not seen them yet.Going out in a minute!
Whats the best thing to say to get rid of them(going BR 29th May)
Thinking along the lines of- seeking financial advice cannot pay one creditor above another etc

i think you need to give them (creditors) the refrence number and say you are waiting on a court date to go bankrupt altho i might be wrong0

it will cost them to go door knocking so they wont do it , the letters are just threats i wouldnt worry about them0

Going bankrupt on my birthday! ahhh!
Don't worry, don't answer the door, don't let them in, it'll all be sorted soon enough.

They probably won't turn up on your doorstep - if they do just ask them to leave.
You could send a letter saying you are seeking financial advice - maybe use this one and adapt it slightly - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=21937969&postcount=52A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I wouldn't bother.
They don't stop bothering you for a little while even after you give them your bankruptcy order number.
I even had one woman (after my bankruptcy) start asking me what I spent it on, and did I not consider how I was going to repay it before I spent it. I was shocked. She didn't know my personal circumstances at all. Told her I'd pay now if she wanted me to.. she said yes.. so I told her she was !!!!!! at her job because that is illegal and to F-off

The final straw for me was when RBS sent me a letter saying they were coming round. I knew it was a bluff (and I was right -- they didn't come) but I thought "I've had enough of this" and I started looking seriously at bankruptcy, which I've now decided to do.
So, in a way, their scare tactics backfired on them. I might have struggled on a bit longer had they not got heavy handed so quickly.0 -
