How much is my car worth?

Just spoke to CCCS, they said to work out how much our cars are worth using Parkers Price guide. It won't let me do it though as the website says it searches free if they're older than the year 2000.

I have a Vauxhall Astra LS 1.6 5dr manual 1999/T, OH has Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.3 5dr manual 2000/W.

Does anyone know how else I can work out their approx value?

I have tried whatsmycarworth.co.uk for you and there are alot of variants but from what i can gather the Astra is worth between £825 & £950 and the Fiesta between £695 & £925

    Hope this helps you?

  • Hi princess, best advice I could offer is have a look on auto trader and get a feel for how much your car is going for on there. Its not going to be exact as im sure the OR office will have accounts with parkers but you can get a decent feel. Try and use private sales as a guide as they will be lower than traders..

beleiev it or not its the method used by most insurance companies for ascertaining value, they very rarley use parkers or glasses guide (glasses also charge these days :( )

You did well then as webuyanycar are basically crooks and offer about 50% of the cars value. Then if you decided to sell to them they will wait for you to arrive to tell you that you car is not good and worth even less.
