BR 17th May 2010

First of all I would like to thank everyone on here for your help and advice over the last couple of months, very much doubt could have done this without you all.

My Day

Started last night really as I didnt sleep a wink, lay in bed wondering if I had got everything right on my forms and what the judge would say etc. so I was up nice and early couldnt eat so just hopped in the car and set off as I wanted to be there nice and early. Arrived at the court at 8.30 only for it not to be there, now someone either moved it or I was in the wrong place (surly cant be me getting it wrong so they moved the building dam them :p). Quick consultation with google maps and its up the road so still there 50 minutes early.

Finally sat down with the clerk at 9.30 who was a lovelly woman, tho she didnt check my form as such she got me sign where needed and swear my oath, all very strange as it was there were other people in the room and suddenly I felt a sence of how real it was.

Up a floor to the Usher again really nice chap and I sat down and waited before being called into the judge about 30 minutes later. Disaster my forms wrong hes sat there looking perplexed as to why I wanted to go BR with a house with 98k equity, seems I only went and missed my mortgage off one of the sections what a dufus.

Quickly outside to amend the forms back into the judge, again really nice bloke, me apologising every 3 seconds and he signed it off and that was that, back out into the sunshine I felt a bit non plussed then the heavens opened and it just made me laugh as I got drenched. Very very strange feelings all round.

Spoke to OR this afternoon took some details told me he would write to the co-op and ask them to keep my account open, again nice chap kept it very proffessional.

The only thing I was slightly dissapointed in was he really refused to get into my car, told me it would decided at my interview and he couldnt comment. Its the thing that concerns me most as I need it for client meetings which I told him but he wouldnt comment. Fair enough I guess.

All in a surreal day I guess im happy that part is over, ill be better still after my main interview which whilst im not looking forward to I am looking forward to getting over and done with.

At least I should sleep tonight :)

All the best to you Steve, part of the journey over.

It can be particularly stressful waiting for the interview but a great feeling when its done. I hope you get positive news on your car. Fingers crossed for you.

  • Thanks Steve for giving your account of the day, I am going to have to go through the same procedure within the next month so it was good to have an idea of what is likely to happen and some of the emotions that go with it.

    Best of luck
