What to do with a London Electricity share cert

I need some help as I have just found a share certificate for 100 shares in London Electricity dated Sep 1992.

I need to find out what I can do to see if the certificate is still valid and what to do with them as I believe EDF Energy bought LE out in the late 90's

I am in nearly the same position except that I can't put my hands on the share certificate but I know I never got the money for these shares when London Electricity was taken over.

Surely someone here knows where we should go to claim what is rightfully ours?

These threads pop up all the time, its amazing what people keep filed away. Im not certain but did someone say they got taken over by EON ? Ask the share registrar for that company if they recognise your right to any recourse there. So long as they didnt go broke or get valued zero at some point I expect you still own part of some company somewhere

Hi

I have been trying for months to sell London Electricity Shares. The issuing registrars say they have no record of me, and the Assestt Reunification Service at Georgesons have also drawn a blank.

I am in physical possession of these share certificates and can't believe that I am unable to sell them.

Does anyone know of an overseeing body that I could contact regarding this matter?
