getting a new bank account

in Bankruptcy & living with it
can somebody give me advice ,about two or three years ago i went into bank ruptcy,which ended over a year ago but i cant open a basic bank account i keep being turned down and its a bit depressing as i need one is there a way of getting through this problem.:(

    As IF says check to see if you are on the electoral role, if you are then I would ask them why they are refusing you an account.

    As the others have said, check the electoral role. Also which banks have you tried? The Co-op Cashminder and Barclays Cash account are bankrupt friendly so try them.
