Does cheap travel insurance mean cheap cover ?

I'm going to Japan in a couple of months and im looking at travel insurance.

I got a quote with Direct line for £45 and i also did a search with moneysupermarket and prices were from £14 up to £71.

I know that different policies cover for different amounts and some may not cover baggage etc, but is it safe to go for a 'cheap' policy that meets all my cover requirements ?

How good are these companies at paying out in the event of a claim ?

Best price is TMSM Worldwide single trip cover, anyone heard or used this company ?

thanks

Just to point you in the right direction TMSM is The Money SuperMarket the website that you was on, when the list of insurance policies come up there will be a name of the insurance company next to them ie club direct,

as long as the policy suits your need then go with it the reason they are so cheap on there is because they get referall fees from the actual insurance companies, a lot of these companies are the smaller ones that can't afford massive amounts of advertising, which is why they advertise through TMSM, and TMSM uses a percentage of these fees to reduce you premiums,

I have just booked through them and was quoted £19.50 for a family of 4 to europe for 10 days, direct through the comapny would have been £33

also if this site refers people to them they cant be that bad
