Stopovers from New Zealand

We're looking for a stopover for a week on the return trip from NZ (next May) somewhere quiet and relaxed and not too touristy. We've discounted Fiji.

Any reccomendations ?

  • Air NZ allow a variety of pacific stopovers for a little bit extra. these include Cook Islands, Tahiti and Western Samoa. We are doing Fiji, may i ask why you have discounted it?

My sis has just done Fiji and she loved it though it was popular as its cheap when you get there, i am going to the Cook Islands and fiji as i could not afford to spend long in tahiti which is what i would want to do..

If i were you go to Western Samoa or Tahiti though note Tahiti is not cheap!

Cooke islands would be the best if you want somewhere a bit quieter in the pacific islands.

The cook islands are pure heaven - loads to do, not many tourists and you really do get to mix with the locals.
