Hi,
Hope this is the right place to post. How can I disassociate myself financially from my ex partner? I've just looked at my credit report on Equifax, and it says I have a financial association with her although we split years ago.
TIA

You're usually only financially linked if you have any joint financial products, if you don't then I think you can write to the credit reference agencies to disassociate yourself from her, I'm sure someone will be along soon with a template letter.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

You need to close all joint accounts, mortgages, rental agreements, current accounts loans, credit cards etc that are in both names.
Once that is done, notify the CRA (experian/equifax) telling them to Disassociate you from them.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Thanks, Guys.
If anyone reads this and has a template letter, I'd appreciate a link.0 -
