Do you think I will have any problems because some of my credit card debt is due to holidays over the last 5 years?

£10000 was a timeshare scam and I have paperwork to back it up(not only me)Then I have had a few foreign holidays over 5 years.Rest of debt is mainly living expenses due to not earning enough and being a single mum.I was managing OK but this last year has been worse as not much work. Also my older son has gone to uni so less benefit and more expense.Second son will go to uni in a year so all benefits and csa will stop. Not earning enough to pay even the minimum payments which I have been paying for a few years.Have probably paid off the debts in interest!!0

hmmn, difficult one to call without looking closely at all the circumstances, because there does not seem to be any lifechanging change of circumstances it may be seen that you were living beyond your means but it is not obvious that you have done anything especially wrongHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Yes I probably was living beyond my means abit.It will do me good being BR because I don't want to have any credit.I am really sorry about this and hope I will not get into trouble with the OR.0

Try not to think of it that way, The OR certainly won't, they dont tell you off or anything like that, they are there simply to administrate and officiate. If they think your actions deserve a restriction you get one, if they dont think you deserve a restriction you wont, there is no judging you or anything like that.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I had my OR interview yesterday and he asked me what the money had gone on. I just told him holidays and paying bills and food. He was not really interested in the cards I had maxed out but the one I had been using since I had to stop working. Told him my old employer had told dwp that I was still working and they sent me a letter about redundancy. So was not getting any income so had to use it to live. He was happy with what I told him.
So long has you have not run up a big debt in the few month before bankruptcy you should be ok.0 -
What does a restriction involve!?0

first of all try not to worry as they are only given to a very small number of people, mainly where lots of credit is used within the last 1 or 2 years before the bankruptcy order.
A Bankruptcy Restriction Order, basically continues the restrictions part of a bankruptcy order for between 2 and 15 years after discharge, the restrictions are the same as in the bankruptcy such as the taking credit restrictions and running limited companiesHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
