Cheaper Foot Passenger tickets - Dover/Calais
canadiana

Hi All,
Looking to go over to Normandy for the bank holiday weekend. Actually leaving 25th in the morning and coming back on the 28th.
We don't have a car so were planning on taking the ferry as foot passengers and then hiring one on the other side. (we're also Canadian so would prefer a car with the steering wheel on the "right" side).
Is it worth pre-booking tickets for the ferry journey, or should we just buy them at the port?
If anyone is going by car on these days we'd be happy to join you if you have the "up to 9 passengers" allowed on your crossing. I'd rather pay a money saver than the ferry companies.
Thanks for any help!
Sarah
