bankruptcy and work and mortgage PROBLEMS

hi all can you please advise if going bankrupt will effect my partners job she works for a building society and all credit checks have been done already for the job....does she have to tell them??? how long will it show on her credit file???

also is it possible for 1 to go bankrupt without the other, majority of debts in my name, only items that are joint debts are the rental property we have it is currently unoccupied as i need of major renovation and we have a 1st charge, 2nd charge and 3rd charge in joint names......would there be anyway of getting my partners name of the charges and couple of months down the line i go bankrupt so it wont affect her in anyway...i made most of the bad decisions that led to this situation and i dont want it to affect her job!!

kind regards

hello, I went BR and I work for a bank, have not had any problems at all with my work. so hope that helps. She would be best to be open and honest about it with her boss though, she could confidentially call the HR department and ask for their view of the matter too. I don't think she has to tell them but it would look better to be up front about it. It will show on her credit file for six years.
