Tax credits and BR

another question (sorry)

I was just googling BR stuff and read a forum where somebody said include tax credit overpayments into BR. Well they reckon I owe them about £4k from years ago which they are clawing back by giving me reduced monthly payments (and before when husband was earning they paid me nothing at all)

Is this correct to include this debt and if so does that mean the tax credits will stop paying me a monthly payment (which I cant afford to live without)

yes you can include it in the bankruptcy, They can continue to deduct a small amount as they do now until you are discharged after which payments would return to the full amount and the debt written off
