Creditors and Telephone Harrasment

Hi Everyone
I'm after a bit of advice/information regarding creditors holding contact information for their customers.
One of my creditors continues to call me even after I have sent the harrasment/data removal letters found on this forum.
I'm currently in the process of complaining to The FOS regarding this and other matters, but is there anybody else that I should complain to regarding my creditors refusal to make all contact in writing only. I have a letter from my creditor saying that they refuse to do this and will continue contacting me by telephone.
Is there a law saying that they have to remove my number ?
Thanks in advance

Not sure, but I understood that they had to agree to contact you only by correspondence once you sent them the letter you sent. Why dont you give them a mobile number instead? Hopefully they will update their records with that instead then you can screen your calls before you answer?Regards,

Did you send this letter? - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=30356365&postcount=25 or this one http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=23625447&postcount=8
The Data Protection bit means they have to remove your number, otherwise they are actually breaking the law by holding onto data. Simply put they only need your address. If they fail to do some you can complain to OFT, ICO, FOS and OFCOM.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

Hi
I have sent the second letter, I hadn't seen the first one. TBH I am quite happy for them to continue calling me if they are breaking the law
They even replied with a letter saying that they wouldn't remove my number, so my letter to The FOS was the right way forward after all.

They actually have my mobile number which they continue to call and text which is annoying as I use this number as a business line.DMP mutual support thread member:3270
