BR Dec, Still waiting on OR about car....?

Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been here for a while but I went BR in Dec and had new baby in Jan
has been a little chaotic to say the least. I do feel bad as you all helped me a lot then I disappeared lol. I feel like that friend you never hear from unless they need help
My new question is this-
Our car was exempt due to small children and needed for work. The car is worth about £3500. The OR said he will get a valuation on it and if that comes back with enough equity he will get it sold at auction and give us the £2000 back to buy a new one. I didn't hear anything for a few weeks so I phoned him, he said he was waiting for confirmation it wasn't on HP (just to make sure), that it would take about a week to get and would get the ball rolling then... That was at the beginning of January and I still haven't heard from him...
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a car sorted like this or can it take the full 12 months?
I don't really want to keep ringing the OR and get on his nerves but am concerned that it is taking a lot longer than he hinted it would...
Thank you all in advance. Hope you are all good hehe

We went BR last week in November and the car was sorted in the first week of February, but there was never any finance on the car so it was quite straight forward. But, I think that they are that busy at the moment some things are taking a while to sort out. I would just wait for them to contact you, you may be lucky and they have forgot about you:pB&SC No. 298
